Privacy Policy
Who we are
Nexyn is developed by Revanth Kumar Aeloori ("we", "us"), an individual developer based in India. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at aeloorirevanthkumar@gmail.com.
What stays on your devices
Nexyn's features work directly between devices you have paired yourself, on the same local network. No internet connection, cloud service or Nexyn server is involved, and we have no way to see this content:
- Notifications from your apps, and replies or actions you send back to them
- Incoming and ongoing calls on your phone, and the answer, decline and end actions you take
- Clipboard text you choose to send
- Files and folders you send between devices
- What is playing on your devices, and playback controls
- Screen, camera and microphone streams, each started only after you allow it on the device
- Device names, battery level and connection status of your paired devices
Connections between devices are protected with TLS 1.3 and only devices you paired by confirming a code on both sides are trusted. Received files are saved on your device (on Android, in Downloads/Nexyn). Removing the app, or unpairing a device, removes the pairing data kept on that device.
Some editions of Nexyn offer extra optional features, such as sharing your phone's text messages, showing callers' names and numbers, or letting a paired computer control the phone. They follow the same rule: the data goes only to your own paired devices and never to us. Each such feature is off until you turn it on and grant the permission it needs.
Your Nexyn account
You can use Nexyn without an account. You need one only to buy or restore a paid plan. If you create an account, we process:
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Signing up with email, or signing in with Google | Signing you in, verifying your address, password-reset emails |
| Name and profile picture link | Signing in with Google (as provided by Google) | Showing which account you are signed in with |
| Phone number | Only if you sign in with a phone number | Signing you in with a text-message code |
| Password | Signing up with email | Signing you in. It is stored by Google Firebase as a one-way hash; we never see it |
| Account ID | Always, once you have an account | A random identifier that links your plan to your account |
| Plan and purchase status | If you buy a plan | Knowing whether your account has the paid plan, and until when |
Our sign-in provider, Google Firebase Authentication, also processes technical data such as your IP address and device information to keep sign-in secure and prevent abuse.
Payments
Purchases in the Google Play version of Nexyn are handled by Google Play under Google's Privacy Policy. Purchases made directly from us are handled by our payment processor, Razorpay, under Razorpay's Privacy Policy. We never receive your card, bank or UPI details. We receive only what we need to confirm a purchase: an order or purchase identifier, the product, the amount, its status and the account it belongs to.
How we use your information
- To create your account, sign you in and keep your account secure
- To confirm your purchases and apply your plan on your devices
- To send you account emails you ask for, such as address verification and password reset
- To answer you when you contact us
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping tax records of purchases
We do not show ads, use analytics or advertising SDKs, track you across apps or websites, build profiles of you, or sell or rent your personal data.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers that run Nexyn for us, and only as needed:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Hosting): stores your account and plan
- Google Play: processes purchases made in the Google Play version
- Razorpay: processes purchases made directly from us
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Your plan record is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in Mumbai, India. Account sign-in data is stored by Google Firebase Authentication, which may process it in other countries under Google's safeguards. All data travels encrypted, and only your own signed-in account can read your plan record.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your account data until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. See Delete your Nexyn account for the steps and what is deleted.
When you delete your account, your account and plan record are deleted right away. Copies in our providers' backups are removed on their schedules (for Google Cloud, within about 180 days). Records of purchases that we must keep by law, such as tax records, are kept for as long as the law requires and are no longer linked to an account. Google Play keeps its own records of Google Play purchases.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Write to aeloorirevanthkumar@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
Nexyn is not directed at children, and Nexyn accounts are meant for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
